Production Update + "The Lawful Times" Deluxe Bookmark

Hey all! Two quick updates for you!

First off, regarding the production of The Sword of Kaigen, we are waiting for those two illustrations we stretch-goaled into, and we're expecting them by end of the month. That means Kaigen will get put on the printing lists in January,  right on time!

Second, while you're waiting, we just launched a quick and fun little project with YouTube's own book goblin, Daniel Greene! In close partnership with Daniel, we are producing a Limited Edition foil bookmark for his The Lawful Time series, and it's a beauty to take it! We did iiiitt! And WOW! #9 Most-Funded Fiction Kickstarter of all time!

Holy hell yall... Not only did you guys all come together with us to make a HELL of a book come to life, but we snagged the #9 Most-Funded Fiction campaign on Kickstarter spot! That's incredible!

Ok, timeline!

It will take about 15 days for Kickstarter to get us the funds from this campaign, at which point we can wrap dev in truth and move to printing! After that, it will be about 6 to 8 months before we get the books in hand, and then probably another month or two before we can get ML up to Rochester to get everything signed and squared away for you!

Closer to the present, we will have Surveys out for yall in about 2 or 3 weeks. DON'T WORRY! You WILL be able to update your shipping address if you move between December and when we ship the books out! We just need to get a sense of exactly how many books we need to prep for shipping in case people buy a BOATLOAD of extras off of Backerkit!

That's it for now! As always we'll be taking a couple of days to breathe and get things together on our end, but we could not be happier with the outcome of this campaign! Thank you to every single one of you who came out to back, and we'll be keeping you updated as we keep moving forward!

As requested, the "Mother of Learning: ARC 1" hardcover has been added as an optional add-on!

Hey all! Small update as we close in on the final days of the campaign! We've had a lot of requests from people who didn't get to back the Mother of Learning: ARC 1 campaign to have it added as a Kickstarter add-on,  so we've done so!

It was always going to be available to purchase on Backerkit post-campaign, but if you wanted one and you want to make SURE you get your copy with your The Sword of Kaigen order, you can go it and manage your pledge to add it! It's a beautiful book, and definitely worth snagging if you want to add another gem to your shelves!

Howdy all!

Looking back at the start of this campaign, we never imagined that we'd cross $100k in 24 hours, or 1000 backers a few days after that. As of last night, however, this campaign officially has more than 2000 backers, which is incredible and also difficult to fathom.

Thank you. The outpouring of love and support for this project has been nothing short of a humbling experience. As we look ahead to production and fulfillment in the coming months, we cannot wait to get these books into your hands!

A Quick Update on Book Features & Art Prints

Howdy, Everyone!

A lot of you have been asking about sewn bindings and acid-free paper. While we've responded to your comments and messages, we wanted to post a quick update so that everyone could be aware. Both the Hardcover Special Edition and the newly announced custom paperback come printed on acid-free paper with Smyth-sewn bindings. 

We were idiots and forgot to include both of those in our features list on the campaign page, (Sorry!) but that has since been rectified.

Also! We recently ordered test proofs for each of the art prints that we're offering in some of our pledge tiers and as Add-Ons. They just came in the mail yesterday and we wanted to show them off so you can get a better idea of what these prints are likely going to look like in person!
